Support
A real person reads every message. Tell us what you were calculating and what happened, and we will get you an answer.
We reply within 2 business days, usually the same day.
What to include
Calculation questions are much faster to answer with the numbers in hand. Where it applies, send us:
- Which calculator you were using.
- The exact inputs you entered.
- The result you got, and the result you expected.
- Whether you are on the website, Android, or iPhone.
Accounts and your data
The calculators need no account. If you created one, you can delete it and everything stored against it from inside the app at any time: Account → Delete account. If you cannot get in, email support@fieldwatt.app from the address you signed up with. For privacy requests specifically, write to privacy@fieldwatt.app. What we collect and why is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Common questions
Do I need an account to use the calculators?
No. All five calculators — voltage drop, wire ampacity, conduit fill, box fill, and conduit bending — work with no account and no internet connection. Signing in is optional and only adds saved jobs and material lists.
Does it work with no signal?
Yes. The calculators run entirely on your device. Once the app is installed, or the website has been opened once, everything keeps working in a basement, a mechanical room, or anywhere else without a connection.
Which code edition do the calculators follow?
NEC 2023. Your jurisdiction may have adopted a different edition or amended the one it adopted, so always verify against the code your AHJ enforces.
Why does the ampacity calculator warn me about the 90°C column?
NEC 110.14(C) limits the final conductor size to the temperature rating of the equipment terminations, which are typically listed for 60°C or 75°C. The 90°C column is a starting point for derating only. Sizing a conductor straight off it returns a smaller conductor than the code allows, so Fieldwatt flags it rather than handing back an answer that fails inspection.
The result disagrees with what I expected. Is it wrong?
Check the inputs first — termination temperature, continuous versus non-continuous duty, and conductor material change the answer significantly. If it still looks wrong, email us the exact inputs and what you expected, and we will work through it. Fieldwatt is a computational aid, not a substitute for the adopted code or for your own judgment.
How do I delete my account and the data attached to it?
Open Account and use Delete account. You type your email address to confirm, and the account is erased immediately along with everything stored against it: saved jobs, material lists, and any active subscription. It cannot be undone. If you cannot get into the account, email us from the address you signed up with and we will do it for you.
Before you rely on a result
Fieldwatt runs NEC 2023 math and cites the article behind each answer, but it is guidance, not a design document and not an inspection. You remain responsible for verifying every result against the code your jurisdiction has adopted and the conditions in front of you. The Calculation Disclaimer spells this out, and the Terms of Use cover the rest.
